Drinking Indian Tea

Indian tea is a common delicacy in many households across the globe today. There are several advantages and disadvantages to taking this kind of tea. Here are some of them.

 

Pros:

1. Refreshing: A cup or two of tea is a great relaxing drink that freshens and rejuvenates the mind that is blocked with constant monotony. If you have been feeling the same, enjoy a good cup of tea, either green tea or the traditional tea and see the magic.

2. Anti-cancer: As already quoted four cups of tea a day can make you 60 per cent less prone to cancer diagnosis. Although the statistics are confined to green tea, the sense of satisfaction still prevails with other tea types. Green tea is also a great drink that helps in reducing fats in the body and keeping one slim and sassy.

3. Better brain function: Brain, the vital organ of human body starts working faster with a cup of tea. If your brain has stopped working continuously and exerting yourself to the core, in that case, the best remedy to start afresh is tea.

4. It is a social drink: It is a great drink that people love to have while socialising. It is an ancient way of getting along and hitting it off well. When two tea lovers meet, there can’t be any stop to the conversation. Tea drinkers have more friends in general.

5. Boosts the immune system: Want to boost the immune system? Tea can be the best option for you as you will be away from an illness that usually attacks you.

6. Reduces risk of diabetes: Researchers have claimed that drinking tea can reduce the chances of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 25 per cent if three or four cups are consumed a day.

7. Reduces weight: It is thought that antioxidants and magnesium compounds help to keep weight down.

8. Reduces risk of ovarian cancer: Drinking one cup of tea a day could also help to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer, studies have suggested.

9. Reduces risk of diseases: Women who drink a single cup every day are 10 per cent less likely to develop the disease than those who never drink tea, research last year found.

10. Reduces the chances of heart diseases: Studies have found that it is a preventive for heart disease and cancer, an acne cure and even a mouthwash. It is also thought to protect us from glaucoma and other eye diseases.

 


Cons:

1. Leads to sleeplessness: Like the way tea consumption awakens one from sleepiness when consumed in the morning after waking up, the same way if it is consumed in the evening after dark more than once, it results in sleeplessness. No one wants to be up all night and have an uneasy day the next morning. It is advisable not to have tea four to five hours before sleep time. Tea being high on caffeine disrupts the sleeping order.

2. May lead to kidney damage: Kidney damage is a probable effect of higher consumption of tea. We know how important kidneys are for our regulatory system and making ways for its damage is a fatal act.

3. Can lead to heartburn: More tea can lead to the production of gastric juice that ultimately creates burning sensation in the stomach and chest. People who already have a chronic gastric problem should avoid even a cup of tea. It stimulates the pain and burning sensation.

4. The risk of side effects: Too much consumption of caffeine can lead to many side effects such as nervousness, confusion, irritability, and other problems elated to sleep disorders. Black tea for some can cause heartburn, vomiting diarrhoea, tumours, and high blood pressure.

5. Effecting the pre-existing disorders: People with medical conditions like iron deficiency, anxiety problems, bleeding problems, anemia, high blood pressure, and bowel syndrome can get worsen for some if they drink black tea. People with hormone sensitive or going through issue like breast cancer can further effect.

6. Threatening for unborn babies and nursing infants: Regularly drinking a caffeinated beverage like black tea can lead to miscarriages, lower birth weights and caffeine withdrawal issues in new-born. Children who are breastfed can also experience adverse reactions from a mother’s consumption of the strong drink including irritability and affected bowel movements.

7. Causing psychological dependence: Because of the caffeine content, black tea may be addictive. If you drink enough of the beverage, you may develop a psychological dependence of black tea, which can be extremely hard to overcome mentally and physically as well.

8. Affecting your nutrient absorption: High quantities of black tea can influence your body’s ability to absorb certain nutrients. For example, ingesting too much caffeine can decrease your access to calcium and interfere with your body’s use of vitamin D. In such conditions, your chances of brittle bones and osteoporosis can ultimately increase.
